On July 27, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks No. 2 held a conference to summarize the trade union work in the first 6 months of 2026 and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of the year.
According to the report at the conference, in the first 6 months of the year, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks No. 2 closely followed the direction of the Provincial Labor Federation, effectively implementing tasks to care for, represent and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Prominent are care activities during the Lunar New Year, Workers' Month and major holidays with a total support budget of over 15 billion VND.
The program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Love 2026" is being widely implemented, along with supporting the construction and repair of houses, emergency allowances for union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, and requesting support for 29 union members under the Program "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress".
Trade union organization development work continues to achieve positive results. From the beginning of the year to now, the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks No. 2 has newly established 13 grassroots trade unions, admitting 681 union members.
Responding to Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026, 100% of grassroots trade unions directly under it have developed implementation plans.
In which, 19 grassroots trade unions organized the program "Trade Union Meal - Thanking Workers" with the participation of 1,580 union members; supported and visited 593 union members with a total budget of 453 million VND.
The Trade Union Committee also coordinated to organize 20 dialogues at the workplace, contributing to timely resolving workers' petitions and building harmonious labor relations in enterprises.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Phan Huy Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the Trade Union Board of Industrial Parks No. 2 in the first 6 months of 2026.
At the same time, Mr. Cuong requested the unit to continue to promote the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions; improve the quality of trade union activities at enterprises; strengthen dialogue, collective bargaining and effectively implement programs to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
On this occasion, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives: the grassroots Trade Union of Packaging Production and Import-Export Co., Ltd. and the grassroots Trade Union of Tam Dinh Apatite Investment Joint Stock Company for their outstanding achievements in trade union activities.
Mr. Hoang Tuan Hai, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Committee of Industrial Parks, was also awarded a Certificate of Merit for his outstanding achievements in the peak month of union member development and establishment of grassroots trade unions in 2026.
