The 2024 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament is jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Tuoi Tre Newspaper, with the support of many other units.
Speaking to encourage the team, Mr. Hoang Dinh Trung - Chairman of the Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that coming to the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament, the Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor's football team promotes the goal of competing to exchange experiences, learn from each other, strengthen solidarity, and contribute to the mass sports movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide.
Through the tournament, the Nam Dinh Provincial Trade Union football team hopes to contribute to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports, improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants, and laborers in particular and the whole society in general.
Previously, the Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor organized the 2024 Nam Dinh Provincial Men's Football Tournament for Workers and Civil Servants, attracting 15 teams from 15 grassroots-level Trade Unions with 210 players participating.
Immediately after the meeting, the Nam Dinh Provincial Trade Union Football Team's delegation of 22 members set off to participate in the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament.
This year, the Vietnam Football Championship for Workers and Civil Servants will go through 2 rounds. The qualifying round will be held in 4 regions: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Nghe An, Bac Ninh in September and October 2024. After the qualifying round, 16 excellent teams will participate in the final round, held in Hanoi in November.
In addition to organizing football matches, the organizing committee also carries out supporting activities such as: Free examination and consultation on sports medicine and musculoskeletal diseases, combined with prescription drug distribution; daily lucky draw; discount booths, recycling old clothes... to take care of the cultural and spiritual life of workers, attracting spectators to the stadium to watch and cheer.
