On February 6, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation said that the Trade Union and the Youth Union of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television organized a working delegation to visit and give gifts to 2 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the province on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
The delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Chau (94 years old), residing in Lam Thanh commune. Mother has 7 children, of which two sons are martyrs, who sacrificed in the resistance war against the US for national salvation in the Quang Tri battlefield in 1972. In 1973, mother's younger brother also sacrificed. Currently, mother is living with her youngest son in the locality.
Next, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh (94 years old), residing in Truong Vinh ward. The mother has 8 children, including two sons who are martyrs, who sacrificed themselves while on international duty in Cambodia in 1979 and 1981.
At the families visited, the working delegation cordially inquired about the health and life of the mothers, and at the same time presented gifts and wished the mothers a warm and joyful Tet.
Implementing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", for many years, Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television have maintained the care, regularly visiting and encouraging the two Vietnamese Heroic Mothers on holidays and Tet.
