On the morning of June 27, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to summarize the Trade Union activities in the first 6 months of 2026 and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.
According to the report at the conference, as of May 31, 2026, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation is directly managing 155,454 union members, including 121,254 female union members; 23 commune and ward trade unions and 113 directly affiliated grassroots trade unions.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the labor situation, employment, wages and living standards of workers in the province were basically stable. The average income of workers at enterprises reached 7.55 million VND/person/month.

In the first 6 months of the year, Nghe An Trade Union levels organized 44 "Tet Sum vay" and "Tet year-end meal" programs, spending more than 212 billion VND, supporting 64,726 union members and workers.
The Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation also supported the construction of 20 "Trade Union Homes" for workers in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of 850 million VND; supported 194 workers in difficult circumstances, who suffered labor accidents at 64 enterprises with a total amount of 270 million VND.
In the work of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, trade union levels have provided legal advice to 166 turns of union members and workers. Workers' Month 2026 activities are organized into a widespread political and social activity.

To date, the whole province has 483/590 enterprises with collective labor agreements, reaching a rate of 82%. Of which, state-owned enterprises reach 100%, non-state-owned enterprises reach 74.5%, and FDI enterprises reach 87%.
The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions continues to be focused on. As of May 31, 2026, Nghe An Trade Union levels have newly established 39 grassroots trade unions with 3,041 union members; newly developed 5,545 union members. The number of union members actually developed increased to 8,545/15,000 union members, equal to 57% of the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for 2026.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of trade union levels in caring for life, protecting the rights of union members and workers, as well as the results of trade union organization development in the first 6 months of the year.

Mr. Kha Van Tam emphasized that in the coming time, trade union levels need to continue to innovate operating methods, stick to grassroots levels, and firmly grasp the situation of workers at enterprises, especially enterprises with a large number of workers, non-state sector enterprises and FDI enterprises. At the same time, promote dialogue and collective negotiation on salaries, bonuses, working hours, occupational safety and health and the quality of lunch meals.
At the conference, the Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation also directly answered and clarified some recommendations and questions from union members related to regimes and policies, as well as issues of welfare and trade union activities at the grassroots level, contributing to promptly answering the thoughts and aspirations of workers.
