Attending the conference were representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, members of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, term XIX, 2023-2028. Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation chaired the conference.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Permanent Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation introduced new points of the Trade Union Law (amended) 2024. This is the 4th time the Trade Union Law has been amended, attracting the attention of union members and workers.
With 6 chapters and 37 articles of the revised Trade Union Law (4 articles more than before), it stipulates more clearly the subjects, functions, tasks of trade unions, rights and responsibilities of union members and workers, financial issues, assets, payroll, trade union apparatus, etc.
Listening to the Draft Report on the Summary of Trade Union Activities in 2024 and the Implementation of Tasks in 2025, the delegates basically agreed with the results achieved in 2024, and at the same time proposed solutions to effectively implement the 2025 program of activities.
Besides, the conference also heard Mr. Nguyen Van Thuc - Head of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations report summarizing the emulation movement in 2024 and deploying the tasks of the emulation movement in 2025.
Announcing the decision and awarding certificates of merit of the General Confederation to 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in 2024; awarding certificates of merit of the Provincial Labor Federation to 8 collectives with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement and celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union; awarding certificates of merit to 7 collectives with outstanding achievements participating in the contest to learn about the Resolutions and actions of union members and workers.
The conference also listened to comments on the Summary Report on the results of the activities of the Standing Committee between the two sessions of the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee, term XIX, 2023 - 2028.
