Attending the Congress were comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), leaders of Phu Tho province; along with 300 delegates representing more than 320,000 workers, civil servants, and laborers in Phu Tho province.
With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress focuses on evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress for the term 2023-2028 (period 2023-2025), and at the same time determines goals, tasks, and solutions for the term 2025-2030, continuing to affirm the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
In the first working session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Appraisal Board as delegates; and at the same time approved the program and working regulations of the Congress.
The political report submitted to the Congress stated that after implementing the policy of arranging and streamlining the organizational structure, ending the activities of district-level trade unions and trade unions in administrative agencies, the workforce, civil servants, and laborers of Tay Ninh province are currently mainly concentrated in industrial zones, clusters and border gate economic zones.
In the period 2023-2025, trade union levels in the province have implemented many practical emulation movements, innovated propaganda and education, and built a strong Trade Union organization. Activities to care for welfare and social security for union members and workers continue to be promoted, notably the "Tet Reunion" programs, year-end celebrations at workers' boarding houses, and bus ticket support for workers returning home for Tet.
In general, in the period 2023-2025, nearly 1.2 million union members and workers have been cared for and supported with a total budget of nearly 520 billion VND. Trade union levels in the province also built 243 "Trade Union Homes", with a total budget of nearly 15.6 billion VND, contributing to stabilizing the lives of workers in difficult circumstances.
Along with social security work, in the past term, trade union levels in Tay Ninh province have well performed the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers through legal advice, dialogue, inspection, and supervision of the implementation of labor policies at enterprises.
