On the afternoon of January 21, the Trade Union of Nam Dong Ha ward (Quang Tri province) organized a conference to deploy the tasks of trade union work in 2026, and at the same time deploy activities to care for union members and workers during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Ward Trade Union informed about the results of the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress; reported on the outstanding results of the Ward Trade Union from its establishment to date and agreed on key tasks in 2026.
According to the report, Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union currently has 77 grassroots trade unions with 2,598 union members. In 2025, the Ward Trade Union promoted activities towards grassroots levels, many units organized congresses and conferences according to plan; and actively mobilized and supported social security. The total amount of support for disaster-affected localities reached 176 million VND, promptly supporting 22 union members affected by floods.
The work of caring for the lives of union members continues to be concerned with many practical activities, including supporting union members to participate in the "Trade Union Tet Market" 400 times, with a total value of 200 million VND.
Stepping into 2026, Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union identified 9 key targets, including: new development from 100-150 union members; establishment of 2-3 grassroots trade unions; striving for 90% of enterprises with 10 or more employees to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements; strengthen professional training for trade union officials; coordinate inspection and supervision from 5-10 enterprises to protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Along with that, promote legal propaganda, effectively implement major tasks such as Workers' Month 2026, and take care of Tet for union members and workers.
At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Ward Trade Union also deployed a plan to take care of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year with the theme "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, celebrate Tet". Peak activities are expected to take place from January 28 to February 12. Notably, the "Trade Union Year-end Meal" program is expected to be organized at a rate of 70,000 VND/meal, contributing to creating a atmosphere of solidarity and attachment between union members and workers and the Trade Union organization.
The Standing Committee of Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union requested grassroots trade unions to closely follow the set targets, innovate operating methods; strengthen propaganda, hang banners and slogans, launch general environmental sanitation and accompany localities in propaganda for the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels, term 2026-2031.
