In the first six months of the year, the Trade Union of the Sóc Trăng Province's Health Department directed its affiliated grassroots trade unions to focus on implementing the task of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, and laborers; visiting and presenting gifts to 4,864 union members, workers, and laborers with a total value of nearly 1.5 billion dong.
The grassroots trade unions organized birthday celebrations for 2,230 union members with a total value of 367 million dong; maintained the organization of activities for 113 savings and loan groups with 1,263 participants, with a monthly collection of 402 million dong, contributing to preventing and combating black credit activities among union members and laborers.
In addition, the affiliated grassroots trade unions continued to maintain and organize activities for collecting used clothing for the Tủ áo tình thương (Charity Wardrobe), Gốc tình thương (Charity Fund), Quỹ tấm lòng nhân ái (Charity Fund), and the Khỏe để lao động (Healthy Labor) program, as well as the Xuân nồng ấm (Warm Spring) program, voluntary blood donation, and other activities, with a total value of over 1 billion dong.
The task of disseminating the Party's resolutions, the State's laws and policies, and the Trade Union's information to union members and laborers through internal channels, Facebook, Zalo, and other means has contributed to timely information dissemination to union members.
At the conference, the Sóc Trăng Province's Health Trade Union lit incense and recalled the tradition of commemorating the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union. Sharing experiences on the method of mobilizing union members to participate in trade union activities at the grassroots level; the way to express the content of self-study and multiple-choice questions in online competitions with high results.
In his speech at the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Sóc Trăng Province's Trade Union Federation Trần Ngọc Mỹ praised the achievements of the Sóc Trăng Province's Health Trade Union in the first six months of the year.
He also requested the Sóc Trăng Province's Health Trade Union to focus on directing its affiliated grassroots trade unions to implement the task of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, and laborers, especially during the 2025 Lunar New Year; Building a strong trade union, attracting and mobilizing a large number of workers to join the trade union; Innovating and improving the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization work, and applying information technology more effectively, etc.
At the conference, the Sóc Trăng Province's Health Trade Union presented a commemorative medal to two individuals; awarded and commended 13 collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the online competition to learn about the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Sóc Trăng Province's Trade Union.
