The Trade Union of Tây Ninh Economic Zone has recently cooperated with the grassroots trade union and the Board of Directors of Billion Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd, Baikai Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd to organize the Trade Union Meal program for over 3,000 laborers.
With the meaning of "Trade Union Meal - Warmth of the heart, strong organization" of the program, the workers' meal with a value of 25,000 VND per day has been increased to 60,000 VND (in which, the company's board of directors supports 12,500 VND, the grassroots trade union's executive committee supports 12,500 VND, and the Trade Union of Tây Ninh province supports 10,000 VND per meal).
The portion of the meal includes nutritious dishes such as: chicken curry served with bread, braised chicken legs, mackerel cooked in sour fish sauce, stir-fried cabbage with meat, white rice, spinach soup with minced meat, fresh milk, yakult, and fruit for dessert.
In addition, the kitchen also serves vegetarian dishes for laborers who have a need for them.
On this occasion, the grassroots trade union's executive committee also organized the admission of 238 trade union members into the Vietnam Trade Union, presented 11 gifts to trade union members with difficult circumstances, and organized a birthday celebration for trade union members and workers who have birthdays in August to express gratitude and appreciation for the happiness of workers at the workplace.
In his speech at the program, Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Kim Liên - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Trade Union of Tây Ninh province - emphasized: "The Trade Union Meal is one of the meaningful and practical activities that demonstrates the attention of the trade union organization to workers through the activity of improving nutritious meals, ensuring workers' health; contributing to creating a harmonious, stable, and sustainable development between enterprises and workers."
