On August 6, the Labor Union of Duy Xuyên District and the Sedo Vinako Joint Stock Company Trade Union jointly organized the Workers' Meal program, providing over 5,000 meals for workers.
The meal consisted of two vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The non-vegetarian menu included: chicken, pork loin, boiled chicken eggs, bitter melon soup, and bird's nest soup… with a value of 50,000 VND per meal. Among them, the company supported 18,000 VND, and the company union supported 32,000 VND to have a meal with sufficient nutrients.
Mr. Lê Hoàn Giang, Chairman of the Sedo Vinako Joint Stock Company Trade Union, said that the meal was implemented in accordance with the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the company union cooperated with the company's board of directors to organize the meal so that workers and laborers have a full and quality meal.
To prepare the meal, the menu was surveyed in advance with the criteria of ensuring quality, quantity, and clear origin.
“In addition to ensuring a quality meal for workers, this is also an opportunity for workers, the trade union, and the company's board of directors to share their feelings, create mutual understanding, unity, and sharing through meal”, Mr. Giang said.
On this occasion, the Sedo Vinako Joint Stock Company Trade Union also inducted nearly 150 new members into the trade union system.
