On January 7, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that the Trade Union of Sunjade Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. had just organized visits, encouragement and handed over support money to workers who unfortunately suffered from dangerous diseases.
Previously, through grasping the situation, it was known that at the beginning of November 2025, Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong, a sewing worker in group 11, Sunjade 2 workshop located in Trieu Son commune, Thanh Hoa, showed symptoms of chest pain and shortness of breath, and was taken to the hospital by her family for examination. The doctor diagnosed her with stage IV lung cancer. She is currently being treated at the National Lung Hospital. Ms. Phuong is a near-poor household with many years of experience in the locality, with tight economic conditions, while the cost of treatment is prolonged and expensive, causing many difficulties in family life.
Faced with the particularly difficult circumstances of union members, the Company's Trade Union has proactively coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to launch donations and support among all officials, union members, and workers in Trieu Son workshop. With the spirit of responsibility, sharing, and affection of the collective of workers towards colleagues who unfortunately suffer from serious illnesses, the unit has donated more than 40 million VND to support treatment costs, encouraging Ms. Phuong to feel secure in treatment.
