On June 22, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that the unit's working delegation attended a workshop to collect opinions on "Trade Union Work Guidelines in handling cases when enterprises go bankrupt, dissolve, owners abscond and preventing the situation of enterprises having owners absconding to protect salaries and social insurance of employees".
The workshop was held at Ton Duc Thang University with the participation of representatives of leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, leaders of Labor Federations of some provinces and cities, representatives of trade unions of industrial parks and economic zones, experts, managers, and officials, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Law of the school.
The workshop was organized to gather opinions from delegates to complete the content of the handbook, serving trade union work in handling cases of business bankruptcy, dissolution, and owners absconding. At the same time, strengthen the effectiveness of coordination between the Trade Union organization and functional agencies in protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the workshop, delegates exchanged and shared many practical experiences and practical contributions related to supporting and protecting workers in cases where businesses cease operations, dissolve or owners abscond.
The opinions contributed at the workshop will be an important basis to complete the handbook, contributing to improving the capacity of trade union officials in performing the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers in the new situation.
