On July 8, the Hue City Labor Federation said that the unit had coordinated with the Fatherland Front Strategy and Policy Institute to organize a survey on health, life, employment and some issues related to union members and workers at 18 enterprises with trade union organizations in the city.
The survey program is implemented at enterprises belonging to 3 types of enterprises with 6 fields and industries including textiles, garments, footwear; agricultural, forestry, and fishery processing; electronics, mechanics; construction, transportation; tourism and services.
The survey content focuses on 3 key groups of issues including the situation of labor relations at enterprises; the level of satisfaction of union members with the activities of grassroots trade unions; the current situation of smoking among workers.
In addition, the survey team also collected information about the life, jobs and income of members of the Southern Hue City Cyclo and Motorbike Taxi Union, contributing to more fully reflecting the reality of the lives of informal sector workers.
The Hue City Labor Federation said that through the survey activity, the unit wishes to listen to the thoughts, aspirations, difficulties, and obstacles of union members and workers to promptly summarize and reflect to competent agencies for consideration and resolution.
The survey results will also be an important practical basis for the Institute of Strategy and Policy of the Fatherland Front to research, evaluate, and advise on perfecting guidelines and policies for workers and trade union organizations, meeting development requirements in the new period.
