On December 31, the Tien Giang Provincial Health Sector Trade Union held a conference to summarize the Trade Union's activities in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025.
According to the report, in 2024, the Tien Giang Provincial Health Sector Trade Union built 4 "Union Shelters" for union members and workers working in the health sector in Tien Giang province who are facing housing difficulties. In addition, the Tien Giang Provincial Health Sector Trade Union regularly directed grassroots unions to do a good job of training and introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission. Thereby, in 2024, 52 comrades were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Faced with the damage caused by storm No. 3 to the people of the North, the Tien Giang Provincial Health Trade Union directed 34 grassroots trade unions to mobilize union members and workers to support the recovery, with a total amount of more than 1.6 billion VND, along with goods worth 1,500,000 VND and medicine worth more than 1.2 billion VND.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Labor Federation - requested the Tien Giang Provincial Health Sector Trade Union to take care of and protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers and civil servants. Grasp information, monitor the Tet bonus for workers and promptly resolve labor disputes, contributing to stabilizing security and order.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trung Tan - Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Health Trade Union - accepted the instructions of the Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Labor Federation. At the same time, he requested that the grassroots trade unions under the Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Health Trade Union proactively advise and report on the schedule registration with the leaders of the Party Committee and authorities at the same level to participate in the Tet care activities of the Trade Union organization to encourage union members and workers, following the motto "All union members and workers have Tet".
The Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Health Sector Trade Union requested that the affiliated grassroots trade unions proactively participate with employers to publicly disclose and supervise the implementation of plans for paying salaries, bonuses, working conditions, rest time, overtime, and other benefits, ensuring the rights of union members and employees; ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees when working overtime, working extra hours, and working during Tet.
