On October 31, the Labor Federation of Cai Lay district (Tien Giang province) held a handover ceremony of the Trade Union Shelter house to Mr. Huynh Thanh Huy - a member of the Trade Union of Doan Thi Nghiep Secondary School (Binh Phu town, Cai Lay district, Tien Giang province) - who is facing housing difficulties.
Mr. Huy's house was built with a usable area of 76.5 m2, brick floor, corrugated iron roof, brick walls. The total construction cost was 100 million VND. Of which, the Tien Giang Provincial Trade Union Shelter Fund supported 50 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family and benefactors.
At the handover ceremony, Chairman of Cai Lay District Labor Federation Nguyen Duc Kien congratulated Mr. Huy and his family on their new house. At the same time, he also hoped that Mr. Huy and his family would continue to strive to improve their lives, save money to renovate the house, and work hard at the unit, continuing to be associated with the Trade Union organization.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Kien, the Trade Union Shelter Housing Program has become one of the social activities with wide-reaching influence, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and affection, affirming the true value of the Trade Union organization as a "home". The program has brought about practical results, contributing positively to eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and realizing the dream of settling down for workers.
