At the Me Tri regulating lake construction sites (Dong Bong 2) and Phu Do, many workers are still diligently working throughout Tet, contributing to bringing key projects to completion soon, serving people's livelihoods and urban embellishment of the Capital.
To recognize and encourage the working spirit of workers, leaders of the Hanoi Labor Federation visited and presented gifts at the construction site.
The Me Tri regulating lake construction investment project started construction at the end of January 2026 and strives to be completed in 2026. Immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony, the contractor established a construction site command board and mobilized sufficient manpower and equipment to synchronously deploy key items.
The goal is to complete the digging of the reservoir before April 15 and basically complete the main items before the 2026 rainy season. Maintaining construction throughout Tet has helped the construction site quickly stabilize its organization, creating momentum for acceleration right from the first days of the new year.
At the Phu Do regulating lake project, items are also being implemented simultaneously. The project is gradually completing the lake system according to the drainage plan, supporting regulation, increasing water storage capacity, improving the landscape environment and limiting flooding in the western area of the Capital.
The Project Management Board has launched an emulation movement to implement the "Campaign of 80 days and nights to put the project into use and operation", with the determination to organize 3 shifts, 4 teams, throughout holidays and Tet, ensuring putting the project into use before April 30, 2026.
Directly visiting and giving gifts on the 2nd day of Binh Ngo Tet - when every household is reunited, and workers are still diligently working at the construction site, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation highly appreciated the spirit of urgent and responsible work of the collective of officials, engineers, and workers at the construction site, and at the same time requested the contractor to continue to pay attention to labor safety, food safety and hygiene, fire and explosion prevention; closely coordinate with grassroots trade unions to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers, promptly support difficult cases, so that workers can feel secure in working and be attached for a long time.
