16 workers of Thang Long Factory of Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. were very touched to be the beneficiaries of the "Tet Not Far From Home" Program organized by the Trade Union.
Due to family circumstances, for various reasons, these 16 workers stayed in Hanoi throughout the Tet holiday. Some have worked for the Company for more than ten years, some have only been there for 2 years, some have only worked for 4 months. Some are from far away in Quang Binh, some are right in Hung Yen... Each person has a different situation but all share a common feeling when being cared for by the Trade Union.
With the program "Tet is not far from home", the Trade Union gives each worker a pair of banh chung, 1kg of gio, 1 Tet gift bag, and, indispensable, a lucky red envelope.

Ms. Bac Thi Phuong, born in 1992, from Ha Giang (now Tuyen Quang) burst into tears - tears seemed to have both emotion and a bit of self-pity when receiving Tet gifts from the Trade Union. She has 13 years of working at Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. Her family has 5 siblings, and the circumstances are still difficult, so this Tet she decided to stay in Hanoi to work part-time to earn extra income to send home to help her parents. "I know that Tet away from home will be sad, but the circumstances are difficult, so I have to be like that" - Ms. Phuong said.
The sharing of the Trade Union organization with workers who stay in Hanoi, not returning to their hometowns to celebrate Tet Reunion with their families has warmed their hearts, has given them the feeling of having a large family where they are also cared for and cared for.

On behalf of 16 workers staying in Hanoi during Tet, Ms. Dang Thi Muong, a Dao ethnic person, said thank you to the Trade Union organization. For them, homesickness has eased a lot when the Trade Union organized Tet celebrations right at the workers' housing area.
