Those are the construction projects of Van Phuc bridge and Thuong Cat bridge. At the Van Phuc bridge construction site, there are currently 252 officials, engineers, and workers working regularly. During the Lunar New Year, contractors still maintain 3 construction teams, focusing on drilled piles under the Red River and the Van Coc lake landing bridge to accelerate progress and strive to complete the project to celebrate the APEC 2027 Summit.
At the Thuong Cat bridge project, the working atmosphere is also very urgent. The project is being implemented according to plan, ensuring progress, quality and labor safety. About 200 officials, engineers, and workers are staying at the construction site. The project management board has fully arranged temporary housing, electricity, domestic water and rest areas; labor safety work is being carried out seriously, without accidents occurring.
Speaking to encourage workers at two key projects, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation expressed his respect and gratitude for the efforts of workers, staying at the construction site throughout Tet. "This is both pride and responsibility of workers in building projects of special significance for the socio-economic development of the Capital" - Mr. Thang said.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Capital Trade Union organization, at each construction site, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang presented Tet gift boxes and supported 30 million VND to union members and workers. These gifts show concern and are a timely source of encouragement for workers to feel secure and attached.
Moved by the concern of the Trade Union organization, Mr. Tran Ngoc Van, from Gia Vien (Ninh Binh) working at Thuong Cat bridge construction site shared: "Because of responsibility for work and wanting to complete the bridge soon for people to travel conveniently, he decided to stay to work throughout Tet. "I miss home very much, but brothers encourage each other to try our best. Here we consider each other as family, eat year-end meals together, call home to wish Tet to relatives to ease the longing," Mr. Van confided.
