In 2025, trade union levels in the Capital focused on the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers. In which, the work of collective dialogue and negotiation is concerned both in quantity and quality. The Hanoi Labor Federation has directed grassroots trade unions to build and sign collective labor agreements (CLAs) at units and enterprises. To date, 4,707 enterprises have signed CLAs (reaching 82.03%). Regarding the quality of CLAs - the number of CLAs achieving type A and B is: 47.67%.
“More than 911,540 union members and workers have been visited and given gifts with a total amount of 388.2 billion VND. Continuing to implement the program “Trade Union Shelter” to support union members and workers facing housing difficulties - as of November 2025, the capital's trade union levels have handed over 31 “Trade Union Shelters” with a total amount of 1.150 billion VND. In which, building 22 new “Trade Union Shelters” with an amount of 880 million VND, repairing 9 “Trade Union Shelters” with an amount of 270 million VND” - Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation said.
Giving thousands of shopping vouchers to union members and workers
The Hanoi Labor Federation has also developed a plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year. With the theme "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" and the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, celebrate Tet", the Hanoi Labor Federation organizes a series of activities, including: "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" program - 2026; "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program.
At the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026", there will be "0" VND booths; booths selling products, goods, and necessities serving Tet, with discounts of at least 10% compared to actual selling prices; giving gifts and cultural and artistic activities serving union members and workers...
It is expected that the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" at the Social Housing Area, Thien Loc commune will take place in 2 days, January 31, 2026 and February 1, 2026; with a scale of about 50 booths; the number of vouchers (Vouchers) given to union members and workers in difficult circumstances is 2,400 vouchers, each voucher worth 500,000 VND; "0" VND gifts: 2,400 gifts, each gift worth 300,000 VND.
The "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" at the showroom, Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Culture Palace is expected to take place in 2 days, February 7-8; with a scale of about 70 booths; the number of Vouchers given to union members and workers in difficult circumstances is 3,600 vouchers, each voucher worth 500,000 VND; "0" VND gifts - 3,600 portions, each portion worth 300,000 VND.
Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Hanoi Labor Federation will deploy the program "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" online. At the program, the number of shopping vouchers given to union members and workers is 9,300 vouchers, each voucher is worth 500,000 VND; form of purchase: Buy online on the e-commerce exchange.
In particular, the Hanoi Labor Federation will support about 60,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances (support level of 1 million VND/person); individuals or relatives (husbands, spouses, children) suffering from dangerous diseases, accidents, natural disasters, fires, labor accidents, occupational diseases; union members and workers suffering from reduced working hours, job losses, labor contract delays, reduced income; union members and workers in enterprises facing difficulties in production and business being owed salaries, not having Tet bonuses, enterprises with dangerous and hazardous industries; union members and workers belonging to policy families, ethnic minorities, who have not had the conditions to return home for Tet for many years; union members and workers staying in units and enterprises for work, production, and business during Tet.
The Capital Trade Union levels also organize activities such as the "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" program - 2026; deploying difficult assistance activities and organizing delegations of leaders of the City Party Committee, Fatherland Front, and Hanoi Labor Federation to directly visit, wish Tet and give gifts to union members and workers; organizing free cars, supporting bus tickets for union members and workers to return to their hometowns for Tet," Mr. Le Dinh Hung shared.
