They are the Trade Union of TTC - FRA Import Export and Service Company Limited and the Trade Union of TCR Distributing Joint Stock Company with 34 members. These two companies operate in the fields of import-export and retail of cosmetics, household appliances and furniture.
After a period of propaganda and mobilization, the workers of the two companies voluntarily applied to join the Vietnam Trade Union. In response to the legitimate aspirations of the workers, the Thanh Tri District Labor Federation issued a decision to admit union members and establish a grassroots trade union. The establishment of the grassroots trade union also received attention and support from the leaders of the two companies.
Thanh Tri District Labor Federation proposed that the Provisional Executive Committees of the two enterprises should develop a coordination regulation between the Board of Directors and the Trade Union; the operating regulations of the Provisional Executive Committee and assign tasks to each member of the Executive Committee; proactively negotiate and sign the Collective Labor Agreement; perform well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers... Especially, preparing the steps to conduct the first Congress of the Grassroots Trade Union.
The leaders of the two companies expressed their hope that the Labor Federation would continue to guide and support the Executive Board of the Company's Trade Union to organize emulation movements well, together with the enterprise to take care of employees and become a bridge between the Board of Directors and employees.
By the end of October 2024, Thanh Tri District Labor Federation had mobilized the establishment of 16 grassroots unions with 461 union members.
