On the morning of June 14, information from the People's Committee of Nam Dong Ha ward (Quang Tri province) said that the unit had just coordinated to receive and hand over a wild python voluntarily handed over by people to the forest rangers for care and completion of procedures before releasing it back to its natural environment.
Previously, at about 8:30 pm on June 13, while exercising in neighborhood 8 (Nam Dong Ha ward), Mr. Hoang Huu De (residing in neighborhood 8, Nam Dong Ha ward) suddenly discovered a large python lying on the side of the road.

Realizing that this was a wild animal that needed to be strictly protected, Mr. De kept a safe distance, and proactively contacted and brought this python to the headquarters of Nam Dong Ha Ward Police to hand it over with the desire that the animal would be safely rescued.
Immediately after receiving the information, Nam Dong Ha Ward Police coordinated with relevant units to conduct inspection and make a record of receipt. Through weighing, the individual python weighed about 9kg.
After that, the police agency handed over this individual to the Cam Lo - Dong Ha Forest Protection Department for continued care and monitoring of health before proceeding with procedures to release it back to its natural environment.
