On May 16, according to information from the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board, the fuel supply system for aircraft at Long Thanh airport has been basically completed.
Fuel tanks, underground and above-ground pipelines have been installed and are ready for operation.
The underground fuel pipe system in the aircraft parking area in front of the passenger terminal has also been completed, with the task of directly supplying fuel to the aircraft.
According to reporters' records, currently officials, engineers, and workers are continuing to complete the remaining tasks to put the project into synchronous operation with other bidding packages.
Internal traffic road items, technical infrastructure, landscape; house items... have also been basically completed. Officials, engineers, and workers are testing the electrical - control system, technology system (pumps, valves, filters...).
According to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), for package 4.9, Long Thanh airport fuel supply system, to ensure synchronization in operation and exploitation with the passenger terminal project and other packages, the contractor consortium strives to complete the construction milestones of key items to ensure readiness to put the project into operation in June 2026.
The contractor consortium has mobilized hundreds of personnel and machinery and equipment to deploy construction.
Bidding package 4.9 - Long Thanh airport fuel supply system with a contract value of more than 2,880 billion VND started in October 2024.
In which, the construction item of 6 floating fuel tanks is one of the most important items. Each floating tank of the fuel supply system at Long Thanh Airport has a capacity of 6,000 m3.
