Binh Quoi ferry terminal in Ho Chi Minh City is bustling again after more than 1 year of suspension
After the People's Committees of Binh Quoi Ward and Thu Duc Ward issued a decision to extend the operation of the passenger wharf across the Binh Quoi River, on the morning of December 13, the Binh Quoi ferry wharf (Binh Quoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) officially resumed operations after more than a year of suspension due to legal procedures related to land.
Having to travel more than 12 km by road from Binh Quoi ward to Thu Duc ward to work, Mr. Tan Thanh (Binh Quoi ward) could not hide his joy when from now on he does not have to spend nearly 1 hour every morning to get to work. "My children and I look forward to the ferry terminal reopening every day so that we can go to work and pick up and drop off our children to school more conveniently. Before, when the ferry was no longer operating, it took me 40 - 50 minutes to travel by road every day to get to work, not to mention traffic jams and congestion during rush hour, it was very difficult," said Mr. Thanh.
