Mr. Tran Minh Khoa - Chairman of Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee said: Phu Quoc is currently a type I urban area, developing a lot in tourism. However, the situation of traditional production livestock farming still exists. The rapid urbanization rate has not kept up, the way of raising livestock is still rural as before, so the situation of relatively many cows free to roam on the roads has affected tourism, causing traffic risks on the road.
In fact, Phu Quoc issued a document, announcing the ban on grazing cattle (beef) in public areas; announcing not to burn garbage, not to graze and let livestock graze in public places. Deploying to all neighborhoods to control how many households are still raising and how many children are raised. Mobilize the propaganda of people to sign a commitment not to let loose, if there are violations, strictly handle them according to regulations, Mr. Khoa said.
In order to rectify and raise people's awareness in environmental protection, landscape preservation and ensuring safety and order in the area, the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone requires organizations, individuals and people to strictly implement regulations.
Specifically, the act of burning household waste in residential areas, along roads or public areas is strictly prohibited. Do not let go free and let your pets spawn in public. owners are responsible for keeping and managing livestock, not letting livestock run around in public places, roads, and residential areas. When taking pets out, they must wear muzzles (for dogs), have ropes to guide them and not let them spawn in public.
In case of free-range pets, owners must collect and clean them themselves to avoid causing loss of aesthetics and environmental pollution. Violations will be punished according to regulations.
The People's Committee of the special zone assigned Phu Quoc Special Police, the Urban Order Inspection Team to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of neighborhoods to strictly handle the case according to the provisions of law. The People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone requests all people to uphold their sense of responsibility and be exemplary in implementing regulations on security, order, social safety and environmental protection. When detecting violations, they should report to the Phu Quoc Special Zone Police, the Urban Order Inspection Team or the People's Committee of the neighborhood for timely handling.
