Binh Dinh voters said that National Highway 1A through Binh Dinh province is damaged and seriously degraded. Many locations with inappropriate traffic signs increase the risk of traffic accidents.
Voters recommend focusing on improving traffic infrastructure, minimizing accidents, and ensuring safety for people and vehicles.
Voters also recommended that the Ministry of Transport survey and adjust the Phu Tai intersection according to the plan to ensure safety and smoothness; install speed signs at appropriate locations to remind traffic participants to reduce speed in dangerous areas.
Regarding the content of the voters' petition, the Ministry of Transport said:
After receiving feedback from voters and recommendations from the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, Road Management Area III coordinated with the Traffic Safety Committee of Binh Dinh province and relevant parties to inspect the scene.
The Ministry of Transport said that through checking the road surface on National Highway 1 through Binh Dinh province (including sections managed and operated by investors and BOT project enterprises), the current road surface is basically guaranteed to be smooth. Units are operating normally, the traffic safety system is clear and effective.
In the coming time, the road management unit will coordinate with localities, investors, and BOT project enterprises to strengthen inspection and maintenance work. The units will speed up the progress of repair works and projects under the 2025 maintenance plan to overcome damage arising on the route to ensure safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic.
Regarding voters' recommendations on adjusting the Phu Tai intersection, the Ministry of Transport said: Phu Tai intersection is an equal-level intersection between National Highway 1 and National Highway 1D. The intersection is located in a densely populated area (on the route, there are signs R.420, R.421).
Through the inspection, the Ministry of Transport said that the traffic safety system was complete and clear to promote its effectiveness.
"In the coming time, if necessary, the road management unit will direct the strengthening of maintenance work to ensure traffic safety," said the Ministry of Transport.
