Quang Binh Trade Union supports 24 poor households to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

CÔNG SÁNG |

The Standing Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor has launched a movement to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. In the first week of March 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor directly helped disadvantaged households in Minh Hoa district.

Supporting 24 disadvantaged households

On March 7, within the framework of the movement implementation plan, the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor awarded support to 24 households, each household 5 million VND to help them have more resources to improve their living conditions. The program received the support of the affiliated Trade Unions, not only contributing material things but also directly participating in visiting and encouraging households in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Dinh Tien Nhat (Quy Dat town, Minh Hoa district) is one of the households receiving support in this period. As a household with difficult family circumstances, Mr. Nhat emotionally shared: I am very happy and joyful to be cared for. Although this amount is not large, it helps me have more conditions to repair the house that has been degraded for many years."

Similarly, Ms. Dinh Thi Lanh (Binh Minh village, Trung Hoa commune), a social protection beneficiary, suffered a serious stroke and could not hide her emotions when receiving attention from the Trade Union organization.

"I thank the Provincial Federation of Labor for helping poor people like me. This is a great encouragement for me to overcome the difficulties" - Ms. Lanh said.

Spreading the spirit of mutual love

The movement "Each grassroots trade union - At least one activity to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" was implemented to promote the sense of responsibility of the trade union organization in accompanying local authorities and workers in difficult circumstances. This is also part of the action program of the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor to contribute to improving the lives of union members, workers and people in the area.

Sharing about this movement, Chairwoman of the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor - Dinh Thi Ngoc Lan said that eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is one of the important tasks that the Trade Union organization wishes to join hands with local authorities to carry out.

We call on grassroots trade unions across the province to actively respond to the movement, not only by mobilizing contributions to funding but also directly participating in activities to support and help disadvantaged households. Hopefully, with the cooperation of the community, many families will have the opportunity to live in more solid and safer houses" - Ms. Lan said.

The Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor also emphasized that this is not only an activity of profound humanistic significance but also demonstrates the responsibility of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of union members and workers.

In the coming time, the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to coordinate with trade unions at all levels and local authorities to implement practical activities, contributing to improving the quality of life for people. In addition to financial support, the Provincial Federation of Labor also encourages grassroots unions to organize volunteer activities such as supporting working days and construction materials to help households complete their houses.

The movement "Each grassroots trade union - At least one joint activity to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" not only helps improve the living conditions of poor households but also spreads the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", contributing to building a community of solidarity and mutual love.

With the determination of the Trade Union organization and the cooperation of the whole society, it is hoped that in the future, there will be no more temporary and dilapidated roofs in Quang Binh province.
