The Loa Thanh Award Judging Council for the Traffic - Infrastructure major consists of 4 members, chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Tong Tran Tung. This year, the Traffic - Architecture major received 4 competition projects from students majoring in Traffic construction.
Among them, the Project with the most outstanding quality is the Project "Design to upgrade and renovate the Hoa Xuan Bridge intersection, Da Nang City" jointly implemented by students of Da Nang University, Nguyen Duc Thien and Nguyen Minh Tu, under the guidance of Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Cao Tho, Da Nang University.
This project was highly appreciated by the 36th Loa Thanh Award Council for its creativity and uniqueness. The project addressed theoretical issues of intersection design, examined the current traffic congestion situation at the Hoa Xuan Bridge intersection, collected survey data on the terrain and traffic flow at the intersection, and from there proposed 4 preliminary options for upgrading and renovating the intersection and drew out the most reasonable option for upgrading and renovating the intersection.
The project is practical in its research on solving the traffic congestion problem at Hoa Xuan bridge intersection. The data collected and analyzed to propose preliminary plans for renovating and upgrading the intersection is actual data organized by students and the proposed plan is feasible.
Basically, the project "Design to upgrade and renovate Hoa Xuan bridge intersection, Da Nang city" has met 4 criteria including knowledge synthesis; unique creativity; practicality; and scientific presentation.
The 36th Loa Thanh Award in 2024 has 193 projects from 22 universities training in construction, architecture, construction engineering technology, transportation, irrigation... across the country.
Based on the criteria of the award review regulations, the 36th Loa Thanh Award Council in 2024 announced the results including 2 First prizes; 18 Second prizes; 24 Third prizes and 22 Encouragement prizes.
