Blocker Tran Thi Bich Thuy had a good performance at the Korean National Volleyball Championship in the GS Caltex club jersey.
The Vietnamese middle blocker and her teammates won a dramatic 3-2 victory over the defending champion Hyundai E&C Hillstate on February 18. In that match, Bich Thuy scored 7 points and achieved an efficiency of 42.9%. This is an important mental boost for coach Lee Young-taek's team.
The GS Caltex girls also have to quickly leave this joy to prepare for the next match that is predicted to be full of difficulties. Their opponent is Daejeon JKJ - the team currently ranked 3rd on the rankings.
GS Caltex Seoul suffered a defeat against Daejeon JKJ after 5 dramatic sets in the first leg. Therefore, to "recover this debt", coach Lee Young-taek's students need to make more efforts.
For Bich Thuy and her teammates, their task is to improve their current ranking when the team is at the bottom of the table. They need to have a lot of calculation and caution in each next round.
