On the morning of March 1st, in Khoen On commune, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Lai Chau province organized a meeting with voters with candidates for the 16th National Assembly, People's Councils at all levels, term 2026-2031.
Attending the voter meeting was Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, expressing her honor to be introduced by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to run for National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term and to be assigned by the National Election Council to run for election in Lai Chau province.
Speaking before voters, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front expressed her honor to be introduced by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to run for National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term and to be assigned by the National Election Council to run for election in Lai Chau province.
As an ethnic minority official with 34 years of working at the district, provincial and central levels, including more than 25 years of working in localities in ethnic minority and mountainous areas... in each working position, Vice Chairman - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga has made efforts to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
Presenting the draft Action Program, Vice Chairman - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga emphasized the deep awareness of the role and position of the National Assembly - the highest representative body of the people, the highest state power body, with the legislative function, supreme supervision of the State's activities and the agency representing the people to decide on important issues of the country.
If trusted by voters and elected as a National Assembly Deputy of the 16th term, Vice Chairman - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga committed to making the highest efforts to fulfill the responsibilities of a People's Elected Deputy.
The focus is on regularly maintaining close and intimate relations with the people; periodically contacting and listening to the thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people, promptly reporting to the Party, reflecting to the National Assembly, proposing to the Government and competent agencies, and at the same time, supervising and urging functional agencies to promptly resolve legitimate recommendations of voters.
Vice Chairman - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga said that she will deeply grasp the grassroots level to grasp the actual situation, synthesize the wishes and legitimate aspirations of all classes of people to participate in proposing to the National Assembly to promulgate laws, mechanisms, and policies that are suitable to reality and in line with the people's hearts, especially policies related to comprehensive development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas so that people can increasingly fully and comprehensively enjoy the achievements of the renovation cause.
Closely follow the socio-economic development situation of Lai Chau province and localities in mountainous ethnic minority areas to work with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to act as a bridge between localities and the National Assembly, Government, ministries, departments, and central agencies in supporting, creating conditions as well as solving and removing difficulties to serve the development of the province and localities in the coming period...

Ms. Hoang Kieu Anh - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province requested that the candidates for National Assembly and People's Council delegates continue to promote the spirit of responsibility and strive to successfully complete the action program set out.
Along with that is the desire for voters to carefully study the biography and action program of each candidate to select and elect typical delegates who have sufficient qualities and capacity, worthy of representing the will and aspirations of the people.

After the conference, Ms. Ha Thi Nga and the working delegation visited and presented 20 gifts (1.3 million VND/gift) to families of people with meritorious services to the revolution and prestigious people in Khoen On commune.
According to the Lai Chau Provincial Election Commission, the whole province has established election committees at all levels, 3 National Assembly Deputy Election Boards, 12 Provincial People's Council Deputy Election Boards, 207 commune-level Election Boards and 854 Election Teams.
Through consultation, the province introduced 13 National Assembly deputy candidates (7 deputies elected); 84 Provincial People's Council candidates (50 deputies elected); 1,265 commune-level People's Council candidates (754 deputies elected).
To date, 38/38 communes and wards have posted voter lists at 854 election groups with 294,059 voters.
