Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee affirmed: "The model being shared online is not the official mascot of Lai Chau province, not directed by the province, and is not displayed at the Provincial People's Square during the Lunar New Year.
In addition, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee also said that the image was exploited by some social network accounts and news sites to exaggerate and distort the truth for the purpose of engaging and causing misunderstanding in public opinion.
