On January 16, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) organized an expanded Presidium Conference to implement the process of introducing personnel to run for National Assembly deputies of the XVI term.
Based on the guiding documents and announcements on structure allocation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Assembly's Delegate Affairs Committee, through rounds of consultation and taking opinions from voters in the workplace, with a 100% approval rate, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union - was unanimously introduced to run for National Assembly deputy of the XVI term; Ms. Tran Lan Phuong - Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union - was introduced to run for full-time National Assembly deputy of the XVI term.
At the conference, delegates expressed high agreement; expecting candidates to become a solid bridge, promptly conveying the thoughts and aspirations of voters and women's union members to the National Assembly, and at the same time contributing wisdom to the nation's major policies.
On behalf of those who were introduced to run for National Assembly deputies, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen respectfully thanked the trust and confidence of the delegates at the conference as well as voters in the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.
Affirming that this is not only personal prestige but also the prestige of the Vietnam Women's Union organization, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen affirmed that she will listen to and absorb opinions from local people, especially women, to the National Assembly forum, thereby contributing to the issue of enhancing economic and political power for women.
Chairman of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen believes that the 14th Congress of the Party will be successful, opening a new era for the country and the Vietnam Women's Union organization will continue to promote the tradition of heroism, indomitableness, loyalty, and self-reliance to excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party and the People.
At the conference, 100% of delegates participating in the conference voted unanimously to introduce Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen to participate in the candidacy for National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term; 100% of delegates voted unanimously to introduce Ms. Tran Lan Phuong to participate in the candidacy for full-time National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term.
