On September 10, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Ninh commune held an inauguration ceremony and handed over the Great Solidarity House to Mr. Doan May's family in My Dong village.
Over the past time, responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Ninh commune has actively mobilized and mobilized social resources to care for and support poor households, near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances in the area.
In December 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Ninh commune received a support fund of 200 million VND from Comrade Ho Van Mung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee - to build Great Solidarity Houses for poor households.
Through a process of public and democratic review and evaluation, Mr. Doan May's family was selected as the second household to receive a support of 100 million VND to build a house.
After a period of construction, the house was completed with a total cost of 370 million VND. Of which, the support source is 100 million VND, and the family's counterpart is 270 million VND. The house is built solidly and spaciously, meeting the stable and long-term living needs of family members.
Supporting the construction of Great Solidarity Houses not only helps poor households have stable accommodation but also shows the concern of the Party, State, Fatherland Front at all levels and philanthropists for social security work.
This is also a source of encouragement for Mr. Doan May's family to overcome difficulties, gradually stabilize their lives, and contribute to the locality in effectively implementing the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and building new rural areas.
