Documents and items allowed to be brought into the exam room
According to the exam regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), when entering the exam room, candidates must sit in the correct position according to the registration number and present their Citizen Identity Card/ID card, passport or exam notification when requested by the invigilator or person on duty at the exam site.
To serve the test process, candidates are allowed to bring items into the exam room including: pens, rulers, pencils, erasers, êke, graph rulers, drawing tools and calculators without text editing function, without memory cards.
Items prohibited from being brought into the exam room
In addition to the list of items allowed to be brought into the exam room, the regulations also clearly stipulate items prohibited from being brought into the exam room or waiting area. This list includes carbon paper, eraser pens, alcoholic beverages, weapons, explosives, and flammable materials.
In particular, candidates are not allowed to bring documents, communication equipment or means capable of storing and transmitting information to serve cheating during the exam. Including mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches and audio and video recording devices.
Thus, candidates are not allowed to bring calculators with document drafting functions and memory cards into the 2026 high school graduation exam room.
Currently, there are no legal documents regulating the list of computers allowed to be brought into the 2026 high school graduation exam room.
However, candidates can refer to the types of computers allowed to be brought into the exam room at the 2022 high school graduation exam specified in Section 2 of Official Dispatch 2318/BGDĐT-CNTT in 2022 as follows:

Important notes for candidates
Each exam session, candidates need to be present on time. If they arrive more than 15 minutes late after the time to start the exam, they will not be allowed to take that session, which means they will not be recognized as high school graduates.
For the essay exam session, candidates are only allowed to leave the exam room after 2/3 of the exam time; must submit their papers, exam questions and scratch paper before leaving the exam room.
Candidates who only take the second exam subject in the elective exam must be present at the place calling candidates to the exam room at least 10 minutes before the exam paper is distributed to prepare.
