When participating in the high school graduation exam, candidates who look at other people's papers will be deducted 25% of the score, and if they bring a phone into the exam room, they will be suspended from the exam.

Today (June 10), more than 1.2 million candidates nationwide are completing procedures for the high school graduation exam. After that, they will have 3 exam sessions in 2 days, December 11-6.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) has reminded exam sites to thoroughly grasp the regulations to limit unfortunate violations that occur during the exam process.

Specifically, according to regulations, the disciplinary level of reprimand applies to candidates who make one-time mistakes such as looking at papers or exchanging papers with other candidates during the exam time. This form is decided by the invigilator and is recorded in the exam room.

The level of warning applies to candidates who have been reprimanded but continue to violate, exchange scratch papers or copy other people's papers, allowing others to copy their papers. This form of discipline is decided by the supervisor, with a record and accompanied by exhibits if any.

Candidates who are warned will be deducted 50% of the total score of the violating exam.

For more serious behaviors, candidates may be suspended from the exam right in the exam room.

Cases of suspension include: Having been warned but continuing to violate; bringing illegal items into the exam room as prescribed; taking exam papers outside or receiving information from outside into the exam room; having acts of causing trouble, threatening people responsible in the exam or other candidates; not complying with the instructions of invigilators and those on duty at the exam site.

When suspended, the invigilator will make a record, collect exhibits if any, and report to the head of the exam site to issue a handling decision.

According to regulations, candidates who are suspended from any exam will get a score of 0 for that exam and will not be allowed to continue taking the next exams. In case of suspension in any year, the results of all exams or subjects of that year's exam will also be cancelled.

To avoid violating regulations, candidates need to pay special attention, only bring pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, graph rulers, drawing tools and calculators that do not have text editing function, no memory card in the exam room.

Items prohibited from being brought into the exam room include: Information transceiver devices, audio and video recordings, mobile phones, documents, carbon paper, eraser pens and items capable of serving exam cheating are prohibited from being brought into the exam room.

The issue of time also needs to be paid special attention to. In each exam session, if candidates arrive more than 15 minutes late after the time to start the exam, they will not be allowed to take the exam that session, which means they will not be recognized as high school graduates.
