100% of voters at the workplace trust and recommend
On February 11, in Hanoi, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) organized the third consultation conference to agree and make a list of people from agencies, organizations, and units at the Central level who are introduced to run for National Assembly deputies of the XVI term according to the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies in 2015 (amended and supplemented) and the guidance of the National Election Council.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairwoman of the National Election Council; Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Vice Chairwoman - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired the Conference.
Presenting a report on the situation, results of organizing the opinion poll and the confidence of voters at the workplace and residence in candidates for National Assembly deputies of agencies, organizations, and units at the Central level, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy said that the voters' conference at the workplace was conducted democratically, the composition of the number of voters attending was in accordance with regulations, and the summary results showed that 217/217 people introduced to run for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term were 100% trusted and introduced by voters at the workplace. Through summarizing the minutes of the voters' conference at the workplace to introduce candidates for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, no opinions have raised issues or cases related to the person being introduced to run for election that need to be verified.
Accordingly, from February 4 to February 8, 2026, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level has coordinated with the People's Committees of the same level (67 communes and wards in 17 provinces and cities directly under the Central Government where candidates reside) to convene and chair the collection of voters' opinions at the place of residence for 217 people who were introduced to run for election. Conferences to collect voters' opinions at the place of residence for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term are conducted publicly, seriously, democratically, in accordance with the law, in accordance with procedures and time as prescribed.
The results of confidence of voters at their place of residence in people of central agencies, organizations, and units running for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term are as follows:
For Party agencies: 10/10 people are 100% trusted by voters; cases raised by voters that need to be verified: no;
For the Presidential Office: 2/2 people are 100% trusted by voters; cases raised by voters that need to be verified: no;
For agencies of the National Assembly (full-time National Assembly deputies at the Central level): 145/145 people are 100% trusted by voters; cases raised by voters that need to be verified: no;
For the Government and Government-attached agencies: 15/15 people are 100% trusted by voters; cases raised by voters that need to be verified: no;
Ministry of National Defense (including Ministers, Ministry agencies, military regions, and branches): 14/14 people are 100% trusted by voters; cases raised by voters that need to be verified: no;
Ministry of Public Security: 3/3 people are 100% trusted by voters; cases raised by voters need to be verified: no;
For the Supreme People's Court: 1/1 people are 100% trusted by voters; cases raised by voters need to be verified: no;
For the Supreme People's Procuracy: 1/1 people are 100% trusted by voters; cases raised by voters that need to be verified: no;
For the State Audit Office: 1/1 people are 100% trusted by voters; Cases raised by voters that need to be verified: no;
For the Vietnam Fatherland Front: 25/25 people are 100% trusted by voters; cases raised by voters need to be verified: no.
Affirming the role of the VFF
At the conference, after discussing and giving opinions on the summary list of confidence results of voters at the workplace and residence for people of agencies, organizations, and units in the Central Government running for National Assembly Deputies of the XVI term, 100% of delegates attending highly agreed to make a list of 217 people from agencies and organizations in the Central Government who meet the standards to run for National Assembly Deputies of the XVI term in accordance with the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Councils at all levels.

Speaking at the closing of the Conference, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized that after an urgent, serious, democratic and highly responsible working session, the third consultation conference of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has completed the entire content and program set out. The Conference received heartfelt and responsible speeches on the results of introducing candidates for the 16th National Assembly of agencies, organizations, and units at the Central level and the dossiers and results of voter opinion meetings at the place of residence of the person introduced to run for the 16th National Assembly.
The Presidium discussed and highly agreed to make a list of 217 people from central agencies and organizations who meet the standards to run for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Councils at all levels. At the same time, it requested the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to closely coordinate with relevant agencies of the National Assembly to carefully review the list of National Assembly deputies to ensure accuracy and thoroughness for the information of the candidates for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and hopes that candidates, especially those who run for leadership positions, when becoming National Assembly deputies, must be worthy of being deputies trusted by the people and recommended by the Vietnam Fatherland Front in consultation," Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized.
According to Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, the results of the Conference demonstrate the spirit of responsibility and high unity of agencies, organizations, and units at the Central level; voters in the place of residence in introducing typical people who meet the standards and conditions to run for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term; affirming the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in presiding over and coordinating the organization of consultations, ensuring democracy, objectivity, and compliance with legal regulations, making important contributions to the success of the National Assembly and People's Council deputies elections at all levels.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that immediately after the Conference, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will complete the minutes and send the list of 217 people who meet the standards to run for National Assembly deputies to the National Election Council and the National Assembly Standing Committee according to regulations, so that the National Election Council can announce the official list of candidates according to each constituency nationwide.
On that basis, the Provincial and Commune-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees will coordinate with the Election Councils of provinces and cities to organize voter contact conferences for National Assembly deputy candidates to meet and contact voters in their constituencies to exercise their right to campaign for elections according to the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies.
Affirming that the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies of all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term is a major political event of the country, a widespread democratic activity in the whole society, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that, in her role as the presiding agency for consultation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels will continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility, closely coordinate with relevant agencies, promote democracy, implement publicity and transparency, making important contributions to selecting and introducing truly typical people in terms of qualities, capacity, prestige, representing the will and aspirations of all classes of people to participate in the National Assembly - the highest state power body and People's Councils at all levels.
