On February 7, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province informed that it had just organized an inspection and supervision of the election of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term and People's Council Deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Lam Dong province currently has 124 commune-level administrative units. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has established 6 inspection and supervision teams for 54 communes and wards.
In each locality, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province has supervised the Election Committee, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, and the People's Committees of communes and wards on election work.
The focus of this supervision is the direction and implementation of guidelines for election work; establishing organizations in charge of elections at the commune level according to regulations such as: Election Commission, election board, election team.
At the same time, inspect the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level on coordination and participation in election work; inspection and supervision of election work, citizen reception, reception and handling of reflections, petitions, complaints, and denunciations related to election work in localities...
Mr. Pham Van Duc - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province - said that this is an extremely important political task of the entire political system. Election work requires very high levels of awareness, political determination to the results achieved.
Therefore, the unit promptly issued directing and guiding documents and organized training on election work for the Fatherland Front at the commune level to organize implementation.
According to Mr. Duc, localities have implemented election tasks to ensure compliance with the law, in accordance with the conditions and situation of the grassroots level.
Up to now, the introduction of candidates has been completed; the second consultation to make a preliminary list of candidates for National Assembly Deputies, Provincial People's Councils and People's Councils of communes, wards, and special zones according to regulations.
Mr. Duc also requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level to urgently organize conferences to collect voters' opinions on the place of residence for candidates; the 3rd consultation conference; voter contact conference to mobilize elections according to regulations.
The election work must be absolutely accurate, in accordance with the Law, and cannot be subjective or negligent," Mr. Duc emphasized.
