Recognizing good people and good deeds among Catholics

On September 11, attending and giving a speech at the 6th National Emulation Congress to commend good deeds among Catholics, period 2020-2025, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) - said that after nearly 40 years of implementing the Party's reform guidelines, our country has achieved great achievements of historical significance.

According to Mr. Do Van Chien, our country has never had such a foundation, position, potential and international prestige as today. Our great national unity bloc is constantly being consolidated and strengthened. The lives of the people in general and Catholics in particular have been constantly improved. The people are at peace, absolutely believe in the leadership of the Party and State, believe in the regime and the bright goods of the nation.

In common with the emulation movement of the whole country, the Vietnamese Catholics under the chairmanship and launching of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Committee for the Solidarity of the Catholics, the Catholics nationwide have always strived to fulfill their wish to live a good life and live a prosperous life in the heart of the nation, taking care of all things of theocracy and joining hands in life, said Mr. Do Van Chien.

Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his joy that the patriotic emulation movement of Catholics in the period of 2020-2025 has spread the spirit of patriotism, commitment to the community, good Catholics are also good citizens. Through the emulation movement, many advanced models have appeared, recognized and highly appreciated by all levels and sectors, and there are many forms of timely commendation, worthy of the efforts of the people.

Respectfully acknowledging and warmly praising the outstanding and proud achievements that the Vietnamese Catholic people have achieved in the 2020-2025 period, Mr. Do Van Chien said that the Congress took place at a time when the entire Party, people and army were enthusiastically competing to achieve outstanding achievements to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party to make a historic decision, bringing our country into the era of national growth, building our country rich, prosperous, civilized and happy.

Mr. Do Van Chien suggested and hoped that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Committee for Catholic Solidarity and Catholics nationwide would deeply absorb the teachings of Cardinal Phan xeo: Vietnamese Catholics must be good citizens. Vietnamese Catholics must be patriots, accompanying the nation to build a prosperous and happy country. From there, continue to spread the spirit of extensive patriotic emulation with specific and practical contents of the movements launched by the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Unanimously joining hands with the entire Party, people and army to enter a new period, innovating thinking, creativity, breakthroughs, successfully implementing the Party's major policies and the State's laws and policies, the Resolution of the 13th and 14th National Congress of the Party.

In the coming time, Mr. Do Van Chien suggested that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee and the entire country's Catholics must unite and join hands to maintain independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity; seize opportunities and advantages, overcome all difficulties and challenges, develop the economy quickly and sustainably, a rich country, a happy people and substantially improve the material and spiritual life of the people.

After the Congress, the Committee for Catholic Solidarity at all levels needs to promptly organize and effectively implement the directions, tasks and specific solutions set by the Congress; closely follow the basis and reality, promote the signing of cooperation programs with state agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations to effectively implement the patriotic emulation movement, especially the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and live a good life" and social security, charity, and humanitarian programs among Catholics in the 2025-2030 period, developing widely in all fields.

The Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committees at all levels need to pay attention to and listen to the opinions of cardinalists and Catholics, promptly grasp and reflect the legitimate and legitimate thoughts and aspirations of cardinalists, cardinalists and Catholics to reflect recommendations to the Party, State and the Vietnam Fatherland Front for consideration and resolution, contributing to promoting democracy, enhancing social consensus, and promoting the solidarity with the nation of Vietnamese Catholics, Mr. Do Van Chien suggested.

On this occasion, Mr. Do Van Chien suggested that Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, and mass organizations coordinate more closely, creating favorable conditions for the patriotic emulation movement among Catholics and the activities of the Vietnam Committee for the Unity of the Catholics to develop more strongly and effectively; at the same time, he hoped that the valuable experiences and practical lessons drawn from the Congress would be a solid foundation for the patriotic emulation movement among Catholics to continue to develop more strongly, more widely, increasingly going into depth and culminating into thousands of good-working people in the colorful and colorful flower garden of the Vietnamese nation.
