Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Secretary of the City Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of the city visited, encouraged and presented a certificate of merit to union member Tran Van Nam (28 years old, residing in Loi Xa village, Tue Tinh commune, Hai Phong city) for his brave action in saving people.
Previously, on the afternoon of July 9, at an intersection between the railway and the residential road, Pham Ngoc L (6 years old, in Viet Hoa ward, Hai Phong city) was unfortunately stuck in the middle of the railway while cycling at high speed. While passing through the above road, seeing the incident, Nam quickly abandoned his motorbike and ran over to take L off the rails, helping L escape a miserable accident.
The Secretary of the Hai Phong City Youth Union affirmed that the actions of union member Tran Van Nam not only saved a life, but also contributed to spreading the message of compassion, citizen responsibility and the spirit of self-sacrifice for the community. These are values that need to be replicated in today's youth. It is known that Mr. Nam is currently a lifting driver in the company at Dai An Industrial Park expansion.
