On February 9, in Tuy Phuoc commune (Gia Lai province), leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) visited and presented gifts to families of people with meritorious services, poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances and workers on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

Attending the program were Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Nguyen Phi Long - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Agencies; Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; and leaders of Gia Lai province.
Reporting on Tet care work, Chairman of Tuy Phuoc Commune People's Committee Tran Minh Quang said that the locality has coordinated with Tuy Phuoc Post Office to pay preferential allowances for people with meritorious services and social allowances for Tet month to 381 people with meritorious services and 4,665 social protection beneficiaries, with a total budget of over 4.5 billion VND, completed before Tet.

The locality has presented 661 gifts from the President to people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs. Especially today, the commune received and presented 600 gifts from Party and State leaders to policy families, poor households, near-poor households and workers in difficult circumstances...
At the program, Party and State leaders directly presented 554 Tet gifts to people and workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 2.3 million VND (including 2 million VND in cash and 300,000 VND in gifts).

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the Party and State always pay special attention to caring for the lives of the people, especially vulnerable groups. On the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister sent wishes for health, peace, and prosperity to the people of Tuy Phuoc commune.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung shared the heavy damage and loss that the people of Tuy Phuoc commune had to bear after two historic storms and floods in November 2025. He also praised the local efforts in overcoming the consequences, soon stabilizing life, especially rebuilding houses for people after natural disasters in the "Quang Trung Campaign".

It is proposed that Tuy Phuoc commune continue to strive for development, worthy of the heroic homeland tradition, and become a bright spot in economic development, improving the lives of the people," Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung directed.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that people in the flood-stricken area of Tuy Phuoc will continue to promote revolutionary traditions, soon overcome difficulties, rise up in life, unite and join forces with the locality to develop socio-economics, so that every household has a warm and happy life.

Being visited and given Tet gifts by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung - a son of the old Binh Dinh land, now Gia Lai province - Ms. Vo Thi Mua (75 years old, residing in Tuy Phuoc commune) excitedly shared: "Being old, having difficulty traveling, but hearing the news that Party and State leaders came to visit is very happy. My house was affected by the recent storm and flood, but it was mild, so it is not eligible for support. I will use this gift to repair the house and buy some more items to make Tet more complete.
