The Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnamese People are extremely saddened to hear the news that comrade Saysomphone Phomvihane, Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction, has passed away.
Comrade Saysomphone Phomvihane is an outstanding and steadfast leader of the Party, State and People of Laos; an outstanding son of the Lao nation who dedicated his whole life to the cause of national liberation, building and developing a prosperous Laos.
For the Fatherland Front and the Vietnamese People, you are a great friend, a close comrade, always wholeheartedly nurturing and making great contributions to consolidating and developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two States, and the people of the two countries as well as between the two Front organizations.
The passing of Comrade Saysomphone Phomvihane is an extremely great loss for the Party, State, Lao Front for National Construction and the fraternal Lao People; at the same time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnamese People also lost a Comrade, a confidant, loyal friend.
