On the morning of August 10, high-level delegations of the Party, State, National Assembly, and Government of Vietnam came to the Lao Embassy in Hanoi to pay respects and write in the mourning book to commemorate Comrade Saysomphone Phomvihane, Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the Lao National Assembly.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the high-level delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam led by Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; the high-level delegation of the Government led by Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; the high-level delegation of the National Assembly led by Politburo Member, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien visited and laid wreaths to commemorate Lao National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane.

Moved to write in the mourning book, senior leaders representing the Party, State, National Assembly and Government expressed boundless mourning for the passing of Lao National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane. Vietnamese leaders emphasized that Comrade Saysomphone Phomvihane was an excellent and dedicated leader of the Party, State, National Assembly and people of Laos; a close and loyal friend of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government and people of Vietnam. Comrade Saysomphone Phomvihane always had deep feelings and made many positive contributions to consolidating and developing the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic cohesion between Vietnam and Laos.

The departure of the comrade is not only a great loss for the Party, State, and fraternal Lao people and the comrade's family, but also a great loss for the Party, State and people of Vietnam. The Party, State and people of Vietnam always remember and cherish the great contributions of the comrade in nurturing, consolidating and developing the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic linkage between Vietnam and Laos.

On the same day, a delegation of some central and local departments, ministries, branches, and organizations came to pay respects and write in the mourning book to commemorate Comrade Saysomphone Phomvihane at the Lao Embassy in Vietnam and the Lao Consulates General in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang City.
