On August 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee coordinated with the Duc Nhuan Ward Party Committee to award the 80-year Party Badge to Mr. Nguyen Nhu Thien on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day 2/9.

On behalf of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Dang Minh Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - and representatives of the local government visited and inquired about his health, awarded Party Badges and expressed deep respect for the training and steadfast contribution of Mr. Nguyen Nhu Thien to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.


Expressing respect for the contributions of the veteran cadre, Mr. Thong sent wishes for him to always maintain his health, continue to be a spiritual support and a bright example for generations of cadres and party members to follow.

Receiving the noble award at the age of 95, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Thien could not hide his emotion. Sharing his feelings about his journey in the ranks of the Party from the age of 17, Mr. Thien shared that he always kept his oath before the Party flag that day, steadfast in the ideal of serving the people and maintaining the moral qualities of a Party member. He also taught his children and grandchildren to always live with love, sharing and knowing how to help everyone around them.

Expressing pride on the day of receiving the Party Badge, Mr. Thien emotionally said: "Today is the biggest event of my life, and also the greatest honor of our whole family.
Mr. Nguyen Nhu Thien is native of Ung Thien commune, Hanoi City. On June 20, 1948, Mr. Thien was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
In his life, Mr. Thien has held many positions such as:
From 1945 - 1946, he was in charge of children's national salvation of Vien Noi commune, canton of Vien Noi, participated in seizing power during the August Revolution in 1945 at My Duc Palace, and seized power in some communes of Bac Ung Hoa, Ha Dong province.
July 1963 - May 1967, he worked as a theoretical teacher at the Vietnam Naval Officer School in Quang Yen.
From January 1988 - June 1989, he was Deputy Head of the Military Medical Academy Branch. From July 2025 to now, he has retired and is active at the Party Committee of Duc Nhuan Ward (HCMC).
