Nearly 1,025 billion VND has been donated to people affected by storms and floods

After the launching ceremony to support compatriots affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi), in recent times, along with the transfer form, many collectives and individuals have directly gone to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) to present donations.

FDI-invested enterprises donate 10 billion VND to support people

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on October 14, Samsung Vietnam donated 10 billion VND to support people in the provinces to overcome the consequences of floods. Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - received support.

Presenting the money to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Na Ki Hong - General Director of Samsung Vietnam - hoped that this amount of money would contribute to supporting people in the provinces to overcome the consequences of storms No. 10 and No. 11. Of which, 5 billion VND will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to allocate to provinces and cities and the remaining amount, Samsung will directly donate to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces, each unit 2.5 billion VND.

On behalf of Samsung Vietnam's leaders and staff, Mr. Na Ki Hong expressed his deepest condolences as the two consecutive storms No. 10 and 11 have caused a lot of damage and loss to the Vietnamese people; at the same time, he hoped that Samsung Vietnam's contributions will contribute to helping the Vietnamese people quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters, returning the lives of people in affected areas to normal soon.

Receiving the donation from Samsung Vietnam, Mr. Do Van Chien expressed his emotion and sent his sincere thanks to Samsung Vietnam for always accompanying and supporting the Vietnamese people in difficulty due to natural disasters and epidemics; at the same time, he pledged that this amount of money will be allocated promptly, publicly and transparently so that people in the provinces have more resources to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

Recently, teachers, parents and students of the bird Group Kindergarten - Casa Dei Piccioni directly went to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (No. 46 Trang Thi, Hanoi) to present VND 28.859 million to contribute more resources to help people in the provinces affected by storms and floods overcome difficulties and soon rebuild their lives.

The school's principal said that this amount of money was donated through the "Give a hug" program - a meaningful activity to spread the spirit of humanity throughout the school. The program has received enthusiastic response from teachers, school staff and parents.

The special feature of Give a hug is that children are directly involved in every stage of the project - from coming up with ideas, preparing products, making dishes, organizing sales fairs to raise funds, to personally donating money to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Thereby, they not only learn about sharing but also nurture a love and sense of responsibility towards the community.

Previously, Mr. Hoang Thi Tuong Vinh, 95 years old (Tran Hung Dao street, Hanoi) was directly present at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, personally donating 1 million VND from personal savings to support people affected by storms and floods. Ms. Hoang Thi Tuong Vinh emotionally shared that, in the face of the damage caused by storms and floods of the people, knowing that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is a reliable and authoritative address in receiving support, she wants to contribute a small part to help people affected by natural disasters and floods overcome difficulties. Many other groups and individuals also directly went to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to send donations.

According to statistics, by October 17, individuals, units and organizations that have registered to support through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front were nearly 1,025 billion VND. From the received money, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee allocated 258.2 billion VND; local direct support units allocated 118.5 billion VND. Along with that, out of the total 500 billion VND donated, Thien Tam Fund and the Front coordinated to survey and provide support to 94 households with dead people; 7,500 households with collapsed, collapsed, or severely damaged houses with a total cost of 161 billion VND.
