The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Hanoi has received more than VND24.48 billion in support for people in localities affected by storms and floods.

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, from October 8 to 17, many agencies, organizations, businesses and philanthropists directly went to the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi to donate funds to support people in provinces affected by storms No. 10 (Bualoi) and No. 11 ( Matmo) with a total amount of more than VND24.48 billion, through bank transfer and cash.

This is a valuable source of support, demonstrating the spirit of responsibility, sharing and "mutual love and support" of the people of the capital towards people in disaster-affected areas. Notable examples include: Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kim Lien Ward donated more than 1.4 billion VND; Lang Ward nearly 1.1 billion VND; Cau Giay Ward 1 billion VND; Phuc Loi Ward more than 761 million VND and Hanoi Clean Water Joint Stock Company No. 2 170 million VND...

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong respectfully thanked the attention, support and sharing of organizations, businesses and individuals for the people of the capital and people of the provinces affected by storms.

Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong affirmed that this valuable support is a great source of encouragement, helping people in affected areas to overcome difficulties soon, restore production and stabilize their lives. The City Fatherland Front is committed to using the support funding source publicly, transparently, for the right purpose, to the right subjects and in a timely manner.

Previously, with the consent of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City decided to soon allocate 115 billion VND from the City Relief Fund to support people in 14 provinces to overcome the damage caused by storms No. 10 and 11, including: Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Quang Tri, Ninh Binh, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh and Thanh Hoa.

This support demonstrates the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, Hanoi with the whole country", joining hands to help people soon stabilize their lives and rebuild after natural disasters.

As of October 10, heavy rain and floods after storm No. 11 have caused heavy losses in many northern provinces. In Hanoi, storms No. 10 and 11 also caused heavy rain and flooding in some areas in Hanoi. In Da Phuc and Trung Gia communes alone, there are over 8,000 households with over 32,000 people affected by flooding, of which about 10,000 people have to evacuate...
