On January 15, in Hanoi, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a scientific conference "The current situation of gathering and promoting the strength of national great unity and contributing opinions to the draft Strategy for National Great National Unity to 2030 and vision to 2045".
Dr. Vu Van Tien - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - said that in the past time, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has assigned the Propaganda Department to preside over the implementation of the scientific topic "Research and development of the Strategy for National Great Unity in 2030, vision to 2045", which is expected to be accepted before June 2026.
With that meaning, this conference is one of the important contents of the topic with the desire to consult and seek opinions from experts, scientists, and delegates to discuss and contribute opinions to the draft "Strategy for National Great Solidarity to 2030, vision to 2045". This is one of the products of the scientific research topic before the acceptance of the final synthesis report in 2026. At the same time, the draft will be an important document serving the content of building the "Project on Strategy for National Great Solidarity to 2030, vision to 2045" chaired by the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the conference, experts and researchers participated in discussions and contributed in-depth opinions on the basic contents of the Great National Unity Strategy, including objectives, tasks, and groups of implementation solutions; clarifying the issues that the Great National Unity Strategy needs to pay attention to in the coming time.
Speaking at the Workshop, Dr. Nguyen Minh Phong - Member of the Economic Advisory Council of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that the draft Strategy for Great National Unity has a comprehensive and relatively complete content, but the structure of the draft Strategy needs to be presented in a more concise and clearer direction. Specifically, the content "necessity to build a strategy" and "impact context" should be combined, creating a new item "impact context and necessity to build a strategy" to ensure unity.
The draft Strategy for Great National Unity needs to supplement an appendix to the list of task projects, clearly stipulating the tasks, clearly defining people, and clearly defining tasks to realize and turn the strategy into action," Dr. Nguyen Minh Phong suggested.
Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Duong - Member of the Presidium, Chairman of the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front believes that the draft Strategy on National Great Unity should have highlights, showing new points to serve the new period. To bring the breath of a new era in the Strategy on National Great Unity, it is necessary to recognize that the digital age affects many aspects of social life, including national great unity. Great unity in the digital age still retains its core values but is also an opportunity, a challenge posed.
Therefore, the draft Strategy for Great National Unity needs to emphasize innovating methods of mass mobilization in the digital environment, improving digital capacity for Front officials and mass organizations; building digital trust, laying the foundation for great unity.
Dr. Nguyen Van Pha - Member of the Presidium, Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee said that the Organizing Committee of the Workshop will fully and seriously absorb the contributed opinions at the Workshop. On that basis, the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will conduct synthesis, review, research and filtering to supplement and complete the strategic draft, ensuring scientific basis, feasibility and practical suitability, meeting the development requirements of the country in the new period.
