The Congress was attended by Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and 388 delegates representing all classes of people, ethnic groups and religions in the province.
With the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Breakthrough - Development", at the first working session, the congress unanimously elected a Presidium of 10 members, a Congress Secretary of 2 members and approved the working program and regulations.
The Congress also listened to a report reviewing the activities of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Standing Committee for the 2024-2029 term.
In particular, emphasizing the process of stabilizing the organization after merging the system of the Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan Fatherland Front and effectively implementing tasks in the two-level government model.
In more than a year of implementing the Congress Resolution, the Fatherland Front at all levels has promoted patriotic emulation movements, consolidated the great national unity bloc; strengthened social supervision and criticism; and strongly directed grassroots activities.
Many livelihood support models for ethnic minorities have been effectively implemented, contributing to the implementation of the National Target Program for the development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
At the congress, the presentations focused on clarifying outstanding results in propaganda and mobilization of the people; preserving ethnic culture, pushing back bad customs; improving the effectiveness of coordination between the Front and authorities at all levels.
The Congress also focused on evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024 - 2029; developing an Action Program of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
