On December 4, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province coordinated with localities to deploy the "Quang Trung Campaign", starting construction simultaneously, quickly rebuilding and repairing houses for families whose houses were damaged by recent natural disasters at 4 locations.
In Dien Dien commune, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong, Ms. Tran Thu Mai - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of units and localities together performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a house for Mr. Nguyen Nam Trung's family in Tay 2 village.
During the recent flood, Mr. Nguyen Nam Trung's family's house was deeply flooded and completely collapsed after the flood receded. In recent days, his family has had to temporarily live next to and with relatives.
Mr. Trung's new house was built on the old house with an area of nearly 100m2, worth about 100 million VND.
Sharing with Mr. Trung's family at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Tran Phong, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, noted that the construction and repair of houses for the people must ensure the progress and quality of the project.
The Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, branches, and local authorities to urgently develop a plan to support the construction of new collapsed houses and the repair of damaged houses; focus all resources to soon complete the project, helping people stabilize their lives.
At the same time, it is necessary to have the right subjects and resources for the program to truly reach the people at this time.
According to statistics during the recent flood, Khanh Hoa province had 89 houses collapsed; 294 houses were severely damaged, seriously affecting the lives of households. According to the plan, Khanh Hoa province will organize the inauguration and handover of houses to people before January 15, 2026.
According to the plan to organize the construction of houses for households that have collapsed or collapsed completely due to natural disasters in the area, today, December 4, the Provincial People's Committee will organize a working group to start construction for the households: Cao La Duong (Cha Lien Village, Nam Khanh Vinh Commune), Nguyen Kim Khanh (Ninh Quy 2 Village, Phuoc Hau Commune), Truong Van Nam (National Highway 27, Dac Nhon 1 Residential Area, Do Vinh Ward).
In particular, Le Thi Kim Oanh's household (No. 18 Riverside Street, Trung Residential Area, Bac Nha Trang Ward) had to temporarily postpone due to rising Cai River water, and Ms. Oanh's household area was flooded again.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also set a goal of seriously and effectively implementing the Prime Minister's "Quang Trung Campaign", ensuring that people have housing to celebrate the Lunar New Year and the New Year 2026.
