Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Tran Van Hung - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of the commune - emphasized the significance, importance and key tasks that the first An Thanh Commune Party Committee Congress needs to carry out in the coming term.
After the opening session, the congress listened to the Presidium present the political report and the review report of the Commune Party Committee Executive Committee. Delegates also participated in giving speeches in the hall, focusing on key contents such as local economic development, improving the quality of Party cell activities, building a strong grassroots political system, caring for people's lives, etc.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Le Trung Kien - Head of the Hai Phong City Economic Zone Management Board - acknowledged and praised the results that the Party Committee, government and people of the commune have achieved in the past time, especially after merging administrative units and implementing local government at 2 levels.
Mr. Le Trung Kien also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations and suggested that the Commune Party Committee in the coming term should focus on implementing well 5 key tasks, emphasizing:
Strengthen Party building work, focus on political and ideological education, improve the capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; Promote economic development associated with building model new rural areas, effectively exploiting local potential, encourage high-tech industry combined with sustainable agriculture; Pay attention to personnel work, especially female cadres and young cadres with qualifications and abilities; Strengthen leadership in national defense and security work; Promote the role of solidarity and responsibility in the political system, contributing to the overall development of the city.
At the congress, the Organizing Committee of the City Party Committee announced the decisions appointing key personnel of the An Thanh Commune Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. Accordingly, the Executive Committee consists of 27 comrades, the Standing Committee consists of 10 comrades. The Congress also appointed the positions of Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Inspection Committee of the Commune Party Committee.
After a period of serious, democratic, responsible work and solidarity, the 1st An Thanh Commune Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, was a great success. The Congress opens a new development path for the locality in the context of integration, innovation, administrative merger and promoting industrialization and modernization of rural areas.
