Welcoming 400 delegates who are veterans, former people's police, victims of Agent Orange, policy families, leaders, cadres and people of Dien Bien province attending the meeting, Mr. Tran Tien Dung - Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee - said that the meeting was an opportunity to review the heroic history and express gratitude, expressing deep gratitude to generations of ancestors who sacrificed their blood to gain independence and freedom for the nation.
Mr. Tran Tien Dung also suggested that Party committees, authorities at all levels, revolutionary veterans, cadres, Party members, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Dien Bien province continue to promote the heroic tradition of Dien Bien Phu in the cause of innovation, compete to successfully implement the goals of the Party Congress resolutions at all levels, towards the goal of "rich people, strong country, democratic, fair and civilized society".
At the meeting, Mr. Mua A Vang - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee - called on all classes of people in the province to continue to promote the spirit of great solidarity, mutual love, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building an increasingly rich homeland.
"Member organizations of the Front continue to innovate their content and methods of operation, truly being a solid bridge between the Party, State and people; continuing to preserve and promote historical values, revolutionary traditions, educating the young generation to be patriotic, national pride, and live responsibly with the country" - Mr. Vang said.
On this occasion, Dien Bien province presented 70 gifts to veterans, policy families and revolutionary veterans.
