On March 11, in Da Nang City, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation for People with Disabilities organized the introduction of the program "Vietnam Disability Day - INSPIRE FEST 2026".
The Vietnam Disability Day event will be held for the first time in Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City in April this year and will become an annual activity.
The festival is positioned as a platform to unlock human potential, placing people with disabilities in an important position in the development process, not only as protected subjects but also as active participants, creators and active contributors to society, forming a sustainable connecting space, where human values are spread, initiatives for people with disabilities are nurtured and effective integration models are replicated, contributing to building a comprehensively developed, fair and compassionate Vietnam.
Not stopping at a single event, the festival is also identified as a strategic milestone, showing long-term vision and a new approach in caring for, supporting and promoting the role of the community of people with disabilities in the new development stage of the country.

Through multidimensional connection of resources in digital technology, education and training, sustainable employment, culture, creative arts and social knowledge, the festival aims to remove tangible and intangible barriers, from cognitive barriers, access environments to career opportunities and long-term livelihoods.
The special highlight of the program is the Talkshow "The Inspirers - Family Support in the Journey of Willpower to Shine". The talkshow gathers typical guests, families and inspiring figures in the community of people with disabilities, bringing real-life stories about the journey to overcome adversity, where families become a solid support to help people with disabilities confidently rise up in their studies, work and life.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Pham Van Thanh - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Disabled Youth said that through the festival, the Vietnam Association of Disabled Youth wishes to promote a strong shift in social thinking, from "helping" to "powering", from "supporting" to "comcompanying", from looking at defects to seeing potential.
INSPIRE FEST 2026 will also be a commitment of the Vietnam Association of Disabled Youth in connecting resources in digital technology, education, training, sustainable employment and innovation, in order to remove tangible and intangible barriers, opening up real integration opportunities for people with disabilities," Mr. Thanh said.
